ABOUT OUR CAMP
The camp was started in 1994 by Rob who was then coaching the men's varsity program in South Burlington. He recognized the need for a camp to help develop a youth feeder program for the high schools in Vermont as well as have a place for his son, then 2, to develop and play as he grew older.
While the camp was started and remained in South Burlington for 22 years times change and the Parks and Rec department who has always supported Fun in the Sun wasn't able to keep the cost of field rental down for us anymore. So rather than raise the cost of camp to our campers we have now moved down the road to Shelburne. This summer 2018 camp will be held on the Field House fields, Athletic Drive Shelburne, VT 05482
The focus and operation of this camp hasn't changed much over the years even though the numbers of participants has gone through ups and downs. The staff is always made up of a mixture of current high school and college players (many past campers) and coaches from the area. Every year we watch as new bonds are formed and summer memories are made while each camper learns something new and improves their lacrosse game. This year we have several Bishop Gaiters joining our staff which offers Vermont players the rare opportunity to learn some of those special skills high level Canadian box players bring to the field game.
